Suburban life

The home office moved back to Atlanta and when the next weekend rolled around, we traveled to the north of Atlanta to visit cousins and two more of Justin’s brothers.

At the first stop, we celebrated our youngest nephew’s first birthday, Miller, with a Miller Lite toast. I got to play auntie and accompanied my niece to her first real gymnastics meet while Justin took our nephew to his double header basketball games. There was some trampoline jumping, cul-de-sac scooter riding, a remote control boat test drive and lots of fireside chats (adults only), next to Preston’s new fire pit.

You can get some beauty tips from Ayla in this little video. I love this kid!

The second half of the weekend, we spent with Peyton and his girls. We ate some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had thanks to Peyton’s Big Green Egg. We went on a hike and ate popcorn in front of Star Wars on the big screen. When your completely outnumbered at home, you soak up all this girl time to the fullest. Are you seeing the pattern?

I fixed the girls’ hair, they fixed Justin’s hair (which he faithfully wore all day, even on the hike) and they fixed Aeneas’s hair quite to his satisfaction. Saeran and I made pizza dough which turned into everyone making pizza dough (they couldn’t help themselves) which turned into 5 mini dessert pizzas which turned the kitchen counter and floor into a complete disaster. Uncle P was a good sport!
