McBrayers gather in Florida

We planned a lot of buffer into our trip back to the states. Cruise ships wait on no one. So we left on Friday afternoon and after a train ride, two flights and a bus, we arrived at Coco Beach on Saturday around 7pm. The masses gathered over the next 36 hours for a departure from Cape Canaveral on Monday morning.

With the 3 extra nights built into the trip as a safety net (1 in Munich and 2 in Florida) we were able to get some beach and pool time in before the cruise. In Germany, it’s inappropriate for kids to “jump” into the pool as we found out and you have to get district approval for any missed days from school over 5 days. That was a bit stressful to manage and deserves it’s own blog post. In the US, they can do whatever they like except dive if it’s shallow and run on slick pavement. I’m not gonna lie, It was nice to have a few days of knowing the rules and expectations both for adults as well as kids.
