Bringing Austria to Durango

The first few weeks back have been a bit of a whirlwind but first things first, it was important for the boys to bring a bit of their Austrian experience back to their schoolmates and friends in Durango.

They both prepared a slide show for their classmates. Aeneas focused on interesting experiences and culture differences in all of his travels across Europe, while Patrick focused on school, lifestyle, and the history of Austria. He introduced and closed his presentation in German (after much coaxing from Mom and his friends who wanted to hear him speak the language).

Although you won’t actually get to hear what the kids had to say about their presentations, you can still see what they presented.

Patrick made a traditional Austrian Apple Strudel to share with his class as well. Not bad for a first attempt.

Yum! A delicious throwback to our Austrian experience. Strudel was the fuel for skiing! I’m glad we brought it back with us!
