Who knew 20 years from our high school graduation we would find ourselves reconnecting with old high school mates in a foreign country, thousands of miles away. We were so glad to get to spend more time with the Lennanes before we headed back. This time, they came to our neck of the woods and so we all met up in the Paznaum Valley which is made up of 4 ski resorts; See, Kappl, Ischgl, and Galtur.

We all trained in to Landeck station and stayed just outside of Kappl in a nice two flat apartment maybe 100 yds from the bus stop. We had a good time exploring the mountain and spending some time with the new skiers in the bunch. They made a lot of progress in two days time! The girls were making calculated controlled turns down the mountain and Jake figured out how to shoot straight down with out any turns only slowing just before shooting off the piste. Everyone has a different approach. 😉

The first day we skiied Kappl, the closest of the resorts to us. The boys had a great time in the terrain park, we hit some really long thigh burning groomers and all of the kids lived it up at apres ski, horsing around in the snow bank and belly sledding. Is that even a thing? Make do with what you have I guess. We managed to get everyone off the mountain before the sun set and the plows threatened to run us over, which apparently isn’t always the case with this crew.
